Call to Order, Disclosures of Pecuniary Interest; nil.

 

Council present; Mayor Doug Maeck, Councillors Ron McLaren, Ron Bennison, Bill Russell and Bonnie Gagnon.  Staff present; Clerk-Administrator Brenda Paul.

 

Guests:  Almaguin News Editor Rob Learn arrived during the meeting at item 6.

 

1.  Sunday Hunting Decision

 

Deferred to 7:00 pm as no public or media were in attendance.

 

2.  Adoption of Jun 27 minutes, motion

 

Updates provided on Summer Student hiring (Brendan Fogarty), tour and locations for Municipal Display signs, GIS mapping inquiries, Steering Committee citizen reps & Arena cost sharing inquiry.

Revisions made and items suggested for Mayor’s update.  Final proof proposed for Jul 25 meeting.

 

3.  Pay List by Fund as of 7 Jul 2011, motion

 

Payment 2536 hourly amount queried.  Road Dept annual vehicle inspections and calcium amount noted.

Sunday Hunting Decision

 

Councillor Russell requested a Recorded Vote.  Mayor Maeck called for a mover and seconder to put the matter on the table.  Each member of Council then spoke to their view on the issue.

THAT we accept By-Law Enforcement Report for Jun 2011.  CARRIED

 

Council were apprised BLEO has been working on additional complaints; trailer on Scarlett Rd and clearing of road allowance at Morris Lane down to the lake.

 

Number of trailers permitted at property 1-010 was queried.  The property is zoned Commercial Highway *1 and a maximum of 14 campsites is permitted.

 

5.  South River Machar Medical minutes of Jun 28, motion

THAT we support motions 1-4 as contained in Medical minutes of Jun 28, 2011; adopt the minutes, paylists, draft advertisement to amend the budget, adjourned until Jul 26…  CARRIED
