Council present: Mayor Doug Maeck, Councillors Ron McLaren, Ron Bennison, Bill Russell and Bonnie Gagnon. Staff present: Clerk-Administrator Brenda Paul.
1. Adoption of Oct 24 minutes, motion

THAT we adopt Oct 24, 2011 Regular minutes as amended.
FURTHER THAT they now be released for distribution. CARRIED

THAT we amend Resolution 237-11 in order to forward 2 additional Applications for Sign Permit and fee of $150.00 per sign for 4 Community Message Boards to the Ministry of Transportation (maximum 4 businesses on each sign and annual renewal is $130.00 each). CARRIED

THAT we approve quote from Nicky Designs for Municipal Display Sign in the amount of $4,385.00 plus applicable taxes and add reflective at a cost of $420. CARRIED
Quote includes installation scheduled for Dec 1, 2011.
The Township qualifies for Boundary Signs as a single tier municipality having a provincial highway bisect our territory. Logo and slogan or welcome message were discussed. Clerk to contact Nicky Designs.
a. Official Plan Update progress
Background report and discussion paper to be received. Policy matters we would like to see addressed in the first working draft of the OP received preliminary discussion and to be brought forward to Planners at our Nov 28 Council meeting.
b. GIS update
Detailed proposal for CGIS to act as our “Outsourced GIS Department” received. Meeting to go over the content is scheduled for Nov 17, 2011.
